In RMD, Quality control and Environment protection are integrated, in a way that there cannot be successful results for one and not for the other; and this makes us move forward successfully in the market, according to current regulations.
Our values are reflected in our Sustainability Policy, in which RMD's commitment to Sustainable Development is guaranteed, involving in such commitment all parties affected somehow by our business strategy: workers, suppliers, clients, shareholders and the society as a whole.
Within a framework of commitment to quality, the environment and sustainability, we readdress the life cycle or the materials we work with, in order to contribute to a better use of products and a more efficient application of resources.
We're certified by LRQA Lloyd´s Register Quality Assurance, and by two certification bodies: ENAC (Spain) y UKAS (United Kingdom), on meeting regulation UNE EN ISO 9001:2000 (ENAC - UKAS) on quality, since July 2002; and regulation UNE EN ISO 14001:2004 (ENAC - UKAS) on environment, since April 2008.
RMD S.A has widened its commitment to Environment by reducing its CO2 emissions, believing that the best way to fight against these emissions is to avoid them from the start. This is why we are certified on regulation UNE EN ISO 14064-1-greenhouse gases by LRQA, as we have our GHG Report validated since 2011.
Our scope of certification is this: Non-hazardous waste management; recovery of: electrical and telecommunication wiring, telephone switching equipment, rubber waste (end-of-life tires and other rubber waste) and various materials with ferrous content or with non-ferrous content.
We have the title for Non-Hazardous Management Agent, G.R.N.P. CL 10/00 since 2000, also the title of Waste Manager G.R. CL 10/08, which authorizes us to undertake collection, transportation, storage and recovery operations for every waste included in codes LER which are mentioned in those titles.
RMD is subject to Audits every year, both externally and internally, so that our processes and guidelines are being continuously evaluated and updated in order to meet the needs of all departments and divisions. They are useful instruments and tools for the development of our daily work.
